Want to know what a water softener will cost, including installation? With Fixmycrib you can compare quotes quickly, for free and with no obligation. You decide for yourself whether to go ahead with any of the companies.

The water softener cost depends on the type (salt-based or salt-free), its capacity, how easy it is to connect to your mains supply and the running costs such as salt and servicing. Costs vary by region and job. Ask a qualified plumber to fit it, and check whether you need a bypass for drinking water at the kitchen tap.

1. Enter your address in the online request form.
2. Say whether you own the property.
3. Describe what you need: the type of softener, the size of your household and where it would go (often near the stopcock).
4. Add a photo of the location if you like.
5. Enter your contact details.
6. Send your request.
7. You'll receive quotes by email, and that's it.
